Class Reflection

Last night I dreamed that I lost my shoe. I was walking through church and realized that my feet were bare, so I started looking around. I backtracked my steps and remembered that I’d grabbed a coke from the vending machine, so I reached inside wondering if that’s where I’d left my shoe, but then something grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the vending machine!!! It was beautiful inside — I was surrounded by a garden of red roses. When I tried to pick one, though, it pricked me. I started bleeding to death … and then I woke up.

Class Reflection

Last Thursday, we had a guest come in to teach us about movement. I think it’s interesting how movement connects our mind and body, allowing us to express ourselves. Our class activities reminded me of Nia, a sensory-based movement practice that I have experienced in choir.

In class Tuesday, we reflected on our creative muse. On that day, my muse was laughter. I think laughter is so important for sustaining and building ideas, relationships and positive environments.

Creativity Class: Week 10

Class Reflection

I’m having a lot of fun experimenting with my individual creativity project: mixing music and photography. Here are some of the photos I took on Tuesday while listening to the Pride & Prejudice soundtrack. The classical music moved me to capture neutral tones in the environment, focus on details and seek out beauty in the simplicity of nature.
