Earlier this month, I had the wonderful opportunity to take photos for my friend Kellie Moore (Kotraba) and her husband David’s wedding. It was a beautiful fall day, with the leaves at peak color and a crisp chill in the air. The ceremony was simple and intimate, and you could really feel the love as these two families became one.

To prepare for any photo assignment, I like to gather inspiration beforehand. In the process, I stumbled upon this wedding film by videographer Dave Tebbutt:

I’m a sucker for weddings. Someday, once I have saved up enough money to buy a DSLR with video, I really want to shoot wedding videos. I like how Tebbutt’s film has a homemade feel with a professional level of production, however, I’d love to add more natural sound and little interviews of the bride and groom talking about how they met, how they feel on their wedding day and what they are looking forward to. Call me corny, but I would feel honored to tell someone’s love story — this is one of the most important days of your life, and it’s about more than just the decorations and the dress.
